An autodialer is an electronic device that can automatically dial telephone numbers. Once the call has been established through the telephone exchange the autodialer will announce verbal messages.
A main feature of an autodialer is its ability to detect the difference between live human pickup and answering machine. Since there is no standard signal when a call is answered by an answering machine an autodialer system have to analyse incoming audio in order to make a prediction. Currently, there is no algorithm that can achieve 100% accuracy.
