Here's a few of tips to get the best out of your posting.

  • No ALL CAPS headlines They don't look consistent with other iTWIre articles
  • No Dates No need for dates in your articles the date as this will be added automatic.
  • Choose the Category carefully - The more relevant the category chosen the better the search engine indexing will be, if you think your release should be in two categories, simply enter additional categories in the "Meta Keywords ".
  • Links - Always include a link "For more information link" (there's a field at the bottom of the submission form" The number of clicks on these links is tracked and you will be able to follow progress. Only enter URL addresses ie www.example.com.
  • Enter a description - I like to paraphrase the headline keeping it really factual so if the headline is "Office works makes a big impression with Telstra" the description could be "Telstra signs 12 month contract with Office works to provide rubber stamps"
  • Enter key words - Always mention the company and the other key words, so taking the above example key words =3D Telstra, Office works, Rubber stamps, Supply Contract. In that format keyword, keyword, keyword,

TECHNOLOGY DIRECTORY
WhaTech Technology directory
will be the best guide to Australian technology companies.
You might have already seen the WhaTech Technology Directory. The Technology Directory will allow you to post a directory listing for each company you represent, then you can "tie in" your releases for that company. This will create a unique page on WhaTech.com.au featuring the directory list plus the latest news from a company. SEO +++

The Technology Directory will alleviate the need to include an "about" at the bottom of the release.
In preparation for this feature I would like you to start a listing for each of the companies you represent. Once the facility is fully set up I will be charging to list, but for the moment it's going to be free.

WhaTech CHANNELS
Channels is a unique way to promote a technology companies offering through search engine optimisation.

Simply put WhaTech Channels represent specific technologies attracting search engine traffic for that technology, for example the channel "Hosted Contact Centre" , when some one enters a search in google for "hosted contact centre" WhaTech's channel will appear in these search results. If a vendor is selling hosted contact centres then it would make sense for them to sponsor this channel. Sponsorship is taken out on a 12 month basis pricing depending on the channel. Sponsors have full control over their channels content, a suggestion would be a mini version of their web sites home page. can see a full list of channels here
