engin (ASX:ENG), Australia’s leading broadband telephone company, has launched its new hosted phone system for small business, saving customers up to 60 per cent on the total cost of a fixed line PBX system. The new engin hosted phone system offers the features and functionality of a full premise-based PBX system without the expense or complex maintenance, helping businesses to reduce their overheads and boost profits.
engin’s Head of Business Sales, Jack McKeon, said the launch of the hosted phone system is good news for small business.
“Any small business can now afford a state-of-the-art phone system for a low monthly subscription, very low call rates and just a small upfront investment for phone handsets, switch and router,” he said.
“Not only will they save up to 70 per cent on hardware costs, but the line rental is around 75 per cent cheaper and calls will cost them between 40 and 60 per cent less than they currently pay. That adds up to a winning deal for small business.”
Australia’s leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP), engin allows any broadband user to make and receive calls over the Internet.
“This is an exciting new chapter in engin’s growth and development, enabling us to significantly expand our range of service options and add value to an entirely new market,” McKeon said.
engin has partnered with leading hardware vendors, Cisco and Polycom, to deliver its new hosted phone system, which leverages the power of Broadsoft’s world-leading VoIP network.
The engin hosted phone system offers all the features you’d expect in an enterprise phone system, including free calls between offices, seamless transfer to mobile phones, voicemail to email, call parking, call pickup, hunt groups, call waiting, call return, multiple call forward options and automatic call back. It also offers full redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities, with the option for calls to be programmed to divert to an alternate number.
The hosted phone system is easy to install and maintain with a user-friendly web portal providing a simple way to handle software upgrades or change business locations, without the need for service technicians.
“We predict significant uptake of this new system as Australian businesses take advantage of the lower cost and greater functionality of Internet-based phone services,” McKeon said.
