Technology Releases - Cloud Computing
NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), a leading vendor of cloud computing business management software suites, announced today that ABS-CBN Global Limited and its worldwide subsidiaries have adopted the NetSuite OneWorld solution to strengthen some of its vital business processes. In particular, the leading global Filipino company has utilized the following NetSuite modules: accounting / ERP, inventory and order management, customer support and customer relationship management (CRM), partner and reseller management, and sales and marketing report generation and analysis. As a result, the company has gained greater flexibility to expand to new regions and modify its product and marketing mix. The NetSuite OneWorld solution also makes it easy for ABS-CBN Global to report results to its parent company which makes use of SAP as its enterprise-wide financial application.
“NetSuite enables us to evaluate our products and create new bundles of services for different customers,” said Genemar Simpao, Chief Information Officer of ABS-CBN Global. “NetSuite provides the functionality and flexibility we need and a single version of the truth.”
ABS-CBN Global Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Philippines' largest content provider, ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation. ABS-CBN Global continues to be a leader in providing quality news and entertainment to overseas Filipinos around the world via cable, direct-to-home satellite, internet protocol TV, on-line audio-video streaming and mobile. The company, through its various international subsidiaries in the U.S., Canada, Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia and Asia-Pacific, also has business interests in telecommunications, retail, money remittance, cargo forwarding and social networking. The global business thus found it imperative to integrate its software applications to ensure efficiency and compatibility.
ABS-CBN Global chose NetSuite OneWorld, a comprehensive cloud computing enterprise management solution, because it was more flexible and required lower up-front investment than other options available. Moreover, ABS-CBN Global, with support from NetSuite Professional Services, customized the solution to meet the needs of its distant and diverse operations.
In addition to reaching new customers and improving its sales processes, ABS-CBN Global is planning to expand the use of NetSuite as a sales management tool. As ABS-CBN Global prepares for the launch of its enhanced audio-video streaming service, its executives are beginning to take advantage of NetSuite’s data and reporting functions to ensure a successful rollout.
