Informatica Continues To Expand Strategic OEM Business

Today Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the world’s number one independent provider of enterprise data integration software, announced the continued expansion of its strategic OEM business, with 24 new OEM partners added in 2009, and a continued increase in the types of end solutions and services that now incorporate the Informatica Platform.
Informatica has more than 65 OEM partners, including traditional enterprise software providers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) and Service Provider partners. Informatica also has a growing number of on-demand SaaS and cloud computing vendor partners. Thirty percent of Informatica’s new OEM partners in 2009 are Cloud vendors, reflecting the continuing advance of cloud data integration.
New Informatica OEM partnerships in 2009 include the likes of analytics database vendors AsterData, Kognitio, Paraccel and Vertica, risk management solutions providers such as Risk Management Solutions and Empowered Systems as well as leading IT vendors like HP. “Customers want more value out of investments they spend on business intelligence,” said Giuliano Di Vitantonio, head of Marketing and Alliances, Business Intelligence Solutions, HP. “When we combine HP Neoview, industry expertise and data integration consulting with Informatica software, our customers can leverage corporate intelligence in more ways than with any other combination in the marketplace.”

The ability to ensure that data is complete, accurate, consistent and auditable has made the Informatica Platform a natural fit for OEMs across numerous use cases.
Increasing diversity of use cases
Informatica technology is being incorporated by OEM partners around the globe in an increasingly broad spectrum of solution and service types, including:
Risk Management – OEMs turning to Informatica in the risk management arena include companies like Risk Management Solutions and Empowered Systems. Brokers and dealers of all sizes need to provide visibility and compliance reporting for all their trading activities and using the Informatica Platform to integrate data for compliance reporting, anti-money laundering and fraud alerting are some of the ways the technology can be used. Easy to work with, Informatica understands the dynamics of on-demand vendors, and has been instrumental in helping its partners to successfully support their own customer base.
Analytics – OEMs in the analytics space leveraging Informatica’s universal data access and broad data quality capabilities include Oracle, iPartners, Noetix (acquired Jaros), ZS Associates and Zyme Solutions. “In integrating client data into our analytic environment, Informatica provides scalability and auditability across the client data management process,” said Jeff Kirk, general manager, Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances, Noetix Corp., a world-class provider of business intelligence software and services for enterprise applications. “Informatica technology provides the foundation for Noetix Analytics and delivers the data integrity our customers need.”
Business Process Outsourcing – Business process outsourcers and outsourcing service companies using Informatica to solve client data management issues include the likes of Hewitt Associates. These companies leverage Informatica to reduce average client on-boarding time by up to 60 percent. This has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars of saving for their customers.
Information Access – Endeca Technologies, a search applications company, is implementing the Informatica Platform to help provide a complete solution for visibility across disparate enterprise information. “By integrating with and re-selling industry standard data integration software, our customers can populate their search applications with enterprise data, reducing deployment time and costs,” said Jason Purcell, senior vice president of marketing and product management, Endeca. “Our partnership with Informatica will accelerate the development and adoption of search applications that blend structured and unstructured information for improved daily decision-making.”
ERP, Supply Chain & Inventory Management – Leading ERP, supply chain and inventory management companies embedding Informatica technology include companies like AspenTech and Servigistics. Partnering with Informatica for enterprise systems integration enables Informatica partners to focus on their core area of expertise. They use the Informatica platform to help control their clients’ supply chain integration costs, making it easier for them to achieve operational excellence goals.
Marketing Services – Leading on-demand marketing services companies leveraging the Informatica Platform in their offerings include partners like Responsys. “Partnering with Informatica has given us a scalable, automated solution to address customer growth and to reduce complexity,” said Antonio Casacuberta, Vice President of Engineering, Responsys. “We now have a high-volume data integration architecture to help generate billions of emails each month for our customers, with headroom for continued growth.”
Master Data Management – Providing the technology foundation that enables master data management (MDM) applications, Informatica allows applications to integrate with existing business systems, improving the quality of master data and maximising the value of MDM.
