CADDIT CAD CAM Australia announces the release of Australia's localized version for Alibre Design V12. Perfromance enhancements include editing large assemblies. New features include reading CATIA & Inventor files, advanced sheet metal, 3D sketch and text tools and more.
Sydney, Australia - CADDIT announced the availability of Alibre Design V12 for Australia. Alibre Design is CAD/CAM software for design of mechanical and industrial design which includes CNC manufacturing and direct STL prototyping interfaces. Alibre is well known in Australia as a full-function, easy-to-use 3D design software package - offering features common in products like Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, but at much lower cost. Past versions of Alibre Design have won CADENCE Magazine's "Editor's Choice Award", Desktop Engineering Reader's "Choice Product of the Year", and many others for offering affordable 3D CAD software that is easy to learn.
New features for the various levels of Alibre Design version 12 include:
- Noticeable speed increase when editing large assemblies and models while in shaded mode.
- Alibre Translate for importing CATIA Pro/ENGINEER Solid Edge SolidWorks and Inventor files (Expert version only - optional for other versions).
- New 3D Text feature tool for embossing text as a parametric part feature
- Advanced sheet metal shape flattening - including contour, lofted & profile flange with tapered corners
- Automatic degree of freedom callouts for missing part sketch constraints
- Optional real-time dimensioning and placement while geometry is drawn, rather than requiring this be completed as an additional design step.
- Quick bi-directional conversion between model sketch figures and reference geometry.
- New constraint and snap options for drawing have been added, as well as a new axis mirror option.
Much much more
CADDIT offers local support for Alibre Design in Australia and is based in Sydney. A free evaluation of Alibre Design V12 cad be downloaded direct from CADDIT as well. Unlike some evaluation software, Alibre will continue to run after the 30 dasy evaluation period in a feature-reduced 3D "Express Mode" without buying a license.
CADDIT can be contacted in Liverpool at 02-87775588 for further questions about Alibre Design, or reached via their website http://www.caddit.net/ .
