Technology Releases - Mobile

The new service phase, on time for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, includes social games, location based broadcasting and open personal pages optimized for over 3.500 mobile phone models and browsers. And – as is usual for itsmy.com – everything is mobile internet based without any application downloads. Mobile browser based social games are the new revenue generators for the mobile business with a clear added value for the customer: have fun while playing games wherever you are and meet new people in a very entertaining and easy way. Playing mobile games like “Snowball Fight” or “hide and seek” is free of cost. If you want to have a special snowball shield or the famous “invisibility feature” in the game you can top up, but only 3 times a day. Thus everybody gets a chance to be in the Hall of Fame.
Travelling to Barcelona or Liverpool? itsmy.com’s location based broadcasting enables you to show your friends the hottest spots, greatest shops and best pubs with the coolest guys in town by just uploading a picture or video to your personal mobile site. For all phones without GPS on board you can easily update your location or preferred place manually and tag pictures and videos with your comments.
Open personal pages allows you to add unlimited features to your mobile homepage, you can even include activities like “call my friends”, “send SMS/MMS” with just one click as well as read latest updates from your friends, add RSS news from different sources, set location alerts and easily add links to mobile services you like.
Antonio Vince Staybl, CEO itsmy.com: “Location based services are really cool features for our users, but we don’t see LBS as a stand-alone business case. Even more, location as a new parameter will help boosting almost every mobile service in the future from search over content to communication”.
Jukka Saarelainen, CTO itsmy.com: “We are dedicated to engage our users with their friends and their preferred activities whenever they want and wherever they are, in a 100% pure mobile way.”
All new services will be presented at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona next week (Hall 7, Stand A48).
