An Australian developed mobile VoIP app for the iPhone is available at the Apple AppStore. The V Phone, a flexible mobile VoIP and SMS app for the iPhone can be used with any VoIP provider using the sip protocol.


The V Phone is an IP Telephony mobile VoIP app that enables mobile users to make VoIP calls and send SMS’s using the internet. The VoIP industry commonly refer to such apps as mobile voip, sip client, mobile sip, internet dialers, voip softphone or sip softphone.
The V Phone uses the Internet connectivity to route your calls and SMS to the receiving party. This basically means that users who can access the Internet on their iPhone are able to make mobile voip calls through their service providers free of charge or at a fraction of the cost compared to traditional PSTN calls.
The V Phone is now available to users of iPhones at the App Store, this mobile VoIP app for the iPhone not only offers users the ability to make VoIP calls, it has the distinct advantage over its competitors of being able to send text messages or SMS’s using your VoIP Provider.
This iPhone sip client has features such as call and SMS history. Users can dial from their history logs and even add a contact from the history list. The iPhone mobile voip app integrates with your phone’s contacts making it easier for users to make a call or send a text message. The iPhone sip softphone has a built in voice help to assist users setup the app for their chosen VoIP Provider. iPhone users will not be disappointed with this mobile sip app and its extensive features.
The V Phone sip client has even a troubleshooting function. Logs can be sent to the developers to inspect and troubleshoot connectivity, login and network issues. The V Phone as a mobile sip client or mobile voip app for the iPhone enables users to retrieve voice messages or voice mail from their provider using the app’s DTMF capabilities. In addition, this iPhone mobile sip softphone has a useful feature called a dial plan. Dial plans are prefixes like typing ‘00’ before a phone number as required by some VoIP Providers.
The differential advantage of the V Phone over other Mobile VoIP apps is that it is not locked to a specific provider and users have the flexibility to add multiple VoIP Providers for VoIP calls and SMS’s.
